AboveTEK Intelligent LED Night Lights with Infrared Proximity Sensor

Night lights... As a Mom, I have had my share of experience with them! This particular set is unique for me though, because I have never used a motion sensor night light before. After having used them for the last week, I really like them! Here are my general thoughts so far.

The lights are nice and bright and I really like the beautiful glow that they make. They are really perfect to put next to the kids beds as night lights. If you get a few sets, they would also make a really cute way for the little one's to light their way to and from the bathroom at night. 

The motion sensor is great because it doesn't waste the batteries when no one is awake and you don't have to bother turning it off. The only trouble that I have with that is, the lights still keep going during the day when we have natural light coming in and wouldn't otherwise use the lights. They are meant to turn off when they detect another light source, but the light that we have coming in is apparently not enough. This is not a huge problem for me because I do not stick them on anything, so I simply put them in a drawer during the day. Problem solved.

Anyone that reads my blog knows that my family does a lot of travel and outdoor activity, so of course, I am keen on anything that can be utilized on the go! SO, I has happy to find that another thing that these are really great for is traveling and camping. :) Honestly, who's been camping and hasn't jumbled around the tent in the middle of the night trying to figure out where the dang light is at some point or another? Pain in the RUMP! These lights just turn right on when you start jumbling which, again is really great with kids especially! Also, if you are on the road at night, these make great reading buddies or whatever else you might want a light for - without hindering the vision of the driver at night.

Each takes three AAA batteries. They do not come with batteries, so you will have to get some if you don't already have them. I can't say yet how long they will last, but they have not run out on me yet.

Majestic Pure Dead Sea Mud Mask

I am a novice to mud masks and face masks but I have always been so curious about them! I was super excited to get to review the Majestic Pure Dead Sea Mud Mask this week! I have used this mud mask three times now and I am really starting to like it! 

The first couple times, I really did not see any noticeable difference. I'm going to chalk that up to potential beginners errors. The first time I tried it, I used too much mud (They did say to put it on thick, in my defense) and instead of crumbling off, it was a mud mess. If you do apply it too thick, I’m going to recommend just waiting a bit longer otherwise it’s really difficult to mess with, and time consuming.

The second time, I got smart and thinned it out more but still didn't do much rubbing in circles, I just kind of rubbed it off (woops) and again wondered what I'm doing wrong. The third time though, I finally figured it out! I am getting used to using the mask now. It is really silky and honestly, it feels nice.When you apply the mask properly, it crumbles better and I think that’s where you get a lot of the exfoliation, which could be the reason behind my results not really showing up the first couple times. (Well, the second time, it did soften my skin) 

I still have visible pores but they are less noticeable so clearly this mask is doing something and I think that continued use will fix that. I would recommend having a hand towel ready. For ease of use, I would also wait to apply the mask until you’re ready to shower and hop in the shower after (or while) you rub it off. Overall, this mask is doing a nice job of softening my skin, which I really like and it's starting on my pores but it definitely wasn't a one and done.

MEDIDERM LABORATORIES *Instant Face Lift**Pore Minimizer Serum**Eye Firming Complex*

I have been testing three products from Mediderm Laboratories for over a week now and I have really been happy with the results! They have all become a part of my daily routine and my face has not looked so healthy in a long time! They are all very smooth and just glide right on my face. Each of them also has a very light but nice fresh scent.

The product that I use first every morning is the pore Minimizer serum. I apply this and give it some time to completely dry before I put on my makeup. I started using it just in the areas that my pores were especially prominent, but after a few days, I began using it all over my face. My pores are noticeably less well..... noticeable! It also seems to provide some protection from my makeup as well. Previously, my face would be dry at the end of the day when I take my makeup off and I would have to apply some form of lotion. That is no longer necessary. My makeup glides over it very nicely and I can't tell you how much I love the look of my concealer WITHOUT the obvious presence of my pores! 

The Eye Firming complex has worked wonders on my eyes every morning. The dark circles and bags just disappear and my eyes look so fresh and wonderful! As a working Mom with kids, my eyes take a huge hit and this gives them that lift that I have wanted back SO badly!

The Instant Face Lift Concentrate should not be used under makeup but is CAN be mixed in with makeup and that is exactly how I use it. The funny thing is, it actually helps my concealer to glide on and look much nicer, which is a huge perk! Just as it says, it really give my face that youthful lifted look -  fresh and smooth and happy! 

I have really loved these products and they are now forever a part of my morning routine!! I would really recommend them. The extra boost in appearance and confidence that they have provided for me, especially being that I don't have the time to be messing around with other facial treatments has been wonderful!

EasyLifeCare 11 Piece Travel Kit Storage Bottles

My family does a LOT of traveling and packing light is what we strive for because with kids especially, you can really end up overloaded. This kit has been absolutely great for holding so many different products!

The bottles are a good size, nice and sturdy and they come with extra pieces to help transfer products neatly into them. The spray bottles spray in a fine mist with ease. The pump bottles come with a set of removable rings that you can place around the neck of the pump to ensure they will not accidentally squirt product out in the jumble of traveling. 

The bottles come in a sturdy, clear plastic bag with a zipper. This set took first trip out of state with us this week and they worked wonderfully and saved us a lot of space in our toiletry bags.

Snug Bento Lunch Box with Leak Proof Liquid Section

Between kids sports and family out of State, my family spends a lot of time on the road. Because of this, we eat a lot of meals on the go. With the cost and lack of decent food at most fast food restaurants, stopping for our meals is just not an option for me.

This week, I had the opportunity to test out the Snug Bento Lunch Box and I am so very happy with
it! There are two main pieces of the lunch box: The main shell and a clear plastic insert that holds the food. There are four main compartments in the insert as well as a little spot with a lid that you can put some dip or pudding in. To get an idea of what each
compartment holds, here are some regular things that we fit in it:

Some of the things that I can fit in one of the longer compartments are:

a sub sandwich with a bun roughly the size of a hot dog bun
four whole hard boiled eggs.
A whole apple cut up into slices
half of a sandwich cut down the middle

Some of the things that you can fit in one of the smaller compartments are:
two bay bell cheeses - (three if you squeeze them a bit)
a half cup of popcorn
6-9 baby carrots or celery slices
a hard boiled egg
10-15 grapes depending on their size

Some of the things that you can fit in the tiny dip compartment with a lid are: 

4 grapes
a handful of peanuts
dips like ranch, or peanut butter
Almost all of the raisins in a kid size snack box
10 goldfish crackers

The lid of the lunch box seals tight and we have not had any problems with anything with juices (Like watermelon) leaking. Just make sure you push down all the way when locking it shut. I missed the mark on that once and made a mess. (WOOPS!)

The only thing that I don't absolutely love about this lunch box is that it gets scratched up pretty quickly. This is 100% cosmetic and does not affect the performance of
the lunch box at all. But I think it would be neat if they made it with a textured shell that doesn't show the scratches so much. (Not a deal breaker by any means though, I still love this lunch box!

What a great way to have fresh, healthy, balanced meals at school, before sports practices and at meets and tournaments, on the road, out for a day at the park, the list is endless! Easy to pack, mess free carrying and easy to clean, I would definitely recommend this lunch box!

Girl's cubic zirconia crystal white gold-plated butterfly necklace

If there is one thing that my sweet little girl has in common with me, it is her love of jewelry! Every morning when I pick out my jewelry for the day, she is right there beside me getting her sparkle on too! So, the time has come that she has jewelry of her own. This necklace gift set was absolutely perfect for her and a great start to her own jewelry collection!

First, the necklace comes in a cute little velvety butterfly box that you can keep it safe in. The box is placed in a very pretty purple bag along with a cute butterfly bookmark. After this sneaky Mom finished checking it out in secret, I put the box back in the bag to present it to my daughter.What a fun little surprise all wrapped up for a little girl, she was absolutely grinning from ear to ear!  If you give it as a gift, you could really gift it just as is without additional wrapping.

The necklace itself it very pretty and sparkly. And of course, the
butterfly is colorful which is an eye catcher for any little girl! The back of the charm is still nice looking, so if it were to accidentally get flipped around during play, the other side still looks pretty, as apposed to some little girl necklaces that have completely hollow backs.The pretty necklace has looked very nice with all of my daughters outfits so far as well. It's just so very fitting for a little girl!

The chain is much sturdier than you would normally find for children's jewelry but it does not take away from the look of the charm. It runs about half way down my 2 year old daughter's chest, so it's a little bit long on her but not too much. The chain is not adjustable, so if you are looking for a more specific length, you might find yourself setting the charm on another chain. The opening on the charm to fit a chain through is a decent size so it is not difficult to switch chains if you would like to.

I really love this necklace, as does my daughter! (which is what really matters) She has cousins aging from 2 to 10 and we recently had them all over for a family get together. They all really admired this necklace, and I am now considering matching cousins necklaces because it was such a hit!

The last thing I wanted to touch on as I wrap up this review, is the absolutely wonderful experience I have had when contacting this company. This is a subject I only mention when a company really makes an impression on me. Between the kindness and quick responses that they displayed, they have made it clear that they truly care about their product AND their customers.

So in closing, I would absolutely recommend this necklace and this company, and with so many nieces that have birthdays coming up, I will be back!

iFora Universal Air Vent Car Mount review

I spend a lot of time in my vehicle. Between work, school, kids sports and traveling out of state a
couple times each month to see family. My phone is also a prominent part of my life. It's my GPS, my address book, my internet resource when I need to look something up, my music box, etc.

Having my phone float around in the car while I drive is a pain. Trying to get it to sit still to use the GPS is my least favorite by far, but I also hate when I get a phone call and can't check look to see who it is, or when I want to skip past a song that is playing but trying to multi task with the phone while I'm driving is just a no go for me.

This car mount has really been great for me. When I plug an address into the GPS, I can keep it in my sights without having to mess with it. When I get a call, I can see who is calling at a glance. And, when my husband is driving, I can turn the phone sideways and watch a movie on the way home!

Learning about the different swivels and tightening methods was a little bit of
a learning experience. I would actually recommend playing around with it a bit before you mount it to get a better understanding of how it all works. My first few tries, if it wasn't flopping the wrong way, it was completely falling off of vent. Now I mount my phone automatically every time I get in
the vehicle and I love it!

And last, the mount comes with a really neat little addition! It actually has a hidden space to put an air freshener inside. (They come with the mount) The air fresheners have a nice fresh scent and I like that you can't even tell they are there. There are two spaces for them, but I personally think two create too strong of a scent so I just have one in and it's great.  No more freshener sticks all over in my car.

I definitely would recommend this mount. I have never used one before it, but after the first few tries, I am now hooked!

Ohuhu Beer & Soda Can Holster Belt

I can definitely appreciate a good party every once in a while. I was really pleased to get the opportunity to review this can holster belt! After some careful testing, this is what I've decided on this piece:

The belt is made of a nice thick, sturdy material so it will definitely last quite a while. There are six spaces for cans and you could put a normal can or a tall can in there with no trouble. There is also a zipper in the back of the holder and the open space runs the entire length of the belt so you could fit a lot in there if you wanted to. 

The straps hold on well but I think it could be a bit longer. I've got a few friends who would not be able to get this belt all the way around them anyway. I also think it would be a great addition if all of the holders were insulated. During the summer, you will only get a couple drinks in before the remaining drinks are warm so you might have to re-load from the cooler... Unless there is a designated drink guy, that could be neat. However in cooler weather, clearly this would not be a problem. 

I also think this would be great for events that you do a lot of walking around, summer festivals, parade season.... Trick or Treating. (I mean, I call it the beer holder but clearly beer isn't the ONLY thing it can hold.) :)

Infant City Baby Safety Magnetic Cabinet Locks

With so many kids that are constantly in my house, safety is clearly a number one priority. There are SO many different child safety locks on the market. I was pleased to have the opportunity to try and review these ones.

First, yes.... I suppose I should start with how safe they are but I'm going with the first thing I notice. My cupboards are no longer overtaken by ugly white straps!!! I love that these locks show no trace of even being there until someone tries to open a cupboard. (Which, you can't unless you have the key!)

NOW on to the safety. Truly, I find these to be safer than the other sets that have the buttons on the outside because my kids have figured them out by the age of 2. And once the kids can get through them, they're not really safe any more. These locks have nothing for them to fiddle with, so they pass by, give it a try and move on. 

Also, they were extremely easy to install. It takes a couple of minutes (MAYBE) per lock and they are good to go. IF somehow you manage to misplace the key, have no fear! Go and get another magnet from your refrigerator. Just don't let the kids see you do it. :)

I really like these locks and I would definitely recommend them! They are safe, easy, convenient and keep my house looking nice!

My family spends a lot of time outdoors. We like to camp and hike and sit around the campfire and the fun doesn't necessarily stop when the sun goes down.

A nice, bright headlamp at night, especially with kids and gear can really make the experience great because... have you ever tried to fumble around in the dark carrying a bunch of stuff with grumbling, tired, stumbling kids in your wake because no one can see properly? You don't need to try it. I can tell you right now, it's not fun.

This head lamp has four settings. (Other than off) You change the setting just by pushing the button:

• The first push is a nice bright light. (Provides plenty of light for multiple people to see when getting back to the tent or house without trouble) 
• The second setting is slightly less bright than the first. This setting, I don't use much because I like lots of light. BUT for purposes of preserving the batteries when a whole lot of light is not needed, I do think it's a good setting. 
• The third setting is a set of red lights on the sides of the head lamp. Again, I have not found much personal use for it but my kids think it's freaking amazing! :) 
• And last, the red and white lights set of a bright flashing pattern. This is not something that I have used yet, but it is a
  
  really good way to get someone's attention so I really think it would make a good emergency light. 

I also really like the actual strap. It can tighten small enough to fit my 2 year old and big enough to fit my large fathers head with room to spare. The fabric is soft and does not irritate the forehead at all. The strap is also thicker than you would normally find. 

The light takes three AAA batteries and they do not come with it, so if you don't already have them, it would be good to change that before it arrives! You can also adjust the direction (straight forward or down) that the light points. I really like this head lamp and I would definitely recommend it.

Girl's Seahorse 18K Rose Gold Plated Heart Pendant with Pink and White Crystals

I am proud to say that I have an absolutely beautiful daughter that is absolutely just like me in so many ways. It so fun that she shares so many interests with me. One in particular, being that we both LOVE jewelry! If I wear it, Sadie wants to wear it. While I love that about her, she's also young so now I have the struggle of having to find affordable jewelry that will not make me cringe when she wants her turn at it. Even though my price tag has gone down though, i still want our collection to be nice.

I am pleased to say that this beautiful Seahorse necklace has hit my expectations right on the mark! Actually, compared to other items of similar price, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this necklace. The chain is cute and dainty but still with sturdy links that my daughter, of course has been tugging on - and it has held up great so far. The charm is heavier than I had expected, not just a cheap, light charm that will swim all over your neck. It will actually hang nicely in place. I also like that the back of the charm is not completely hollow - again like you would often find in a necklace of this price.

The necklace comes in a pretty, velvety sea shell box that has a pillow to hold the necklace. I took the pillow out because I like the look of the shell sitting open with the necklace there. Also, this box can hold multiple necklaces and works great to put in the travel bag to hold them when going out of town.

I really can not say enough about this beautiful piece of jewelry. I think it would make a beautiful gift for a child or an adult and honestly, I would happily have purchased this necklace for much more than the listing price. It has a very pretty design, I love the colors and it shines beautifully.

CTA Digital Wall/Under-Cabinet & Desk Mount review

I really use a lot of electronics every day - they are my go- to for recipes, note taking, my bills, EVERYTHING! I have a couple of tablets (One for home use and one for work) That I use to manage everything on a daily basis.

A couple of weeks ago, I started using these mounts for my tablets and I have absolutely fallen in love with them! You can mount them on a wall or under a cabinet but I do not mount mine because I like to be able to move them around and the mounts stand perfectly on the desk or counter. If I purchase another set though, one will be going under the cabinets by the stove though, (for cooking/ recipes) and one will likely end up by the bed so I can lay the kids down and pop on a Netflix movie when I need a moment. :) 

These mounts hold on to all of my devices, whether they have a thick case on them or not - which I really appreciate because I have a car mount that will NOT hold a device in a case and it's a pain because I have thick cases on all of my electronics. You can adjust it very easily with the push of a button and the grips hold on nice and tight. But they have soft rubber grips so they will not damage anything. 

I do have a little bit of trouble getting the cover off to move the mounting arm, but my husband can do it without trouble, I might just

be losing it!  It is not impossible by any means, I just have to work harder for it. haha! :) 

I have really liked this product and I think that it is really well thought out. Other than the pesky little cover (which I don't move around often anyway) I have absolutely no complaints. I have LOVED using these! 

Also, as a side note, it is not made with the intention of holding phones, but I am able to get both of my galaxy note phones in there and I now use this stand to hold my phone when I do pictures and videos for reviews as well. So, just something to keep in mind if you have that kind of need like I do.
